During my childhood i always heard van with some big speaker driving rounds and rounds around my housing compound. Sometime they will even left lots of papers behind when they leave.
This van will be notice whenever the school holiday is near or during the season event. Sometime its did act as a good reminder for all the residents here. And sometimes lots of children will chasing the van.
This is one of the most tradition way of delivery a inform. Although, some dreamer (sleeping people in house) may dun like their noise. But its did spread the message effectively.
This may be a traditional announcement method but it may still effective for some places. The cost is as low as some speakers, amplifier, and a mic/radio tape. Just fix it on your car an go around.
